An abandoned subway-turned-theatre...an upside down city...a vegetable garden-in-a-wall -- those were the winning ideas in the ShiftBoston contest, an international competition (spearheaded by Kim Polquin and Dunja Vujinic) challenging folks to redesign Boston. A panel of architecutural experts sussed out the best and the brightest creations in front of an audience of some 300 design fanatics at the Institute of Contemporary Art.
